UP stacks sit under the majesty of Mount Baldy. Just moments before I took this shot, the crew called in to request permission to enter BNSF trackage. They announced their position as Limonite (that's Limonite Road to the left), but I think this is actually Pedley over here, and Limonite is another mile or so east (typical railfan, thinking I know better than the rail, huh?). SD70M #4439 was delivered to the UP on August 2001. |

UP stacks wait to enter the BNSF |
| Description: |
Stacks sit in the Metrolink station waiting for permission to enter the BNSF and head east. The Metrolink station here is basically a platofrm with this funky looking roofs. Moments before I snapped this a private security guard approached me and asked me if I was a professional photographer or taking the pictures for my own enjoyment. Expecting to be kicked out either way I told her the truth, I'm an amateur taking pics for fun. She nodded that that was okay and left me alone. |
