Title: |
Long distance passenger |
Description: |
A passenger train from the south with a pair of freight cars on the head end, pulls out of Port Bou at the French/Spanish border. The Spanish trains are at a wider gauge, (Iberic Gauge) so when travelling into Spain from France, one is forced to change trains here. Spanish trains are on the right and French trains are out of frame to the left. |

SNCF 22312 coming west |
Description: |
A rake of DEV stock dating from the 40s/50s is in the command of BB 22312 a BB-22200 class "Nez Casse" (Broken Nose). Due to the age of the cars, this might be dated summer service, a 'train supplmentaire' (extra) or a "doublement" (second section), although the DEVs did still see some fast train service on this line at the time. The DEVs were deeveloped in 1938 by Division dEtudes de Voitures, but weren't actually built until 1946 due to WWII. |
