A "Work Extra" is seen from the East side of the tracks along SW 4th Ave. at about SW 2nd Pl. facing NW. We are just south of Stirling Road (SR-848). FEC used to get all of its MofW granite ballast from Norfolk Southern, hence the Southern and NS ballast cars. GP38-2 #508 was delivered in April of 1978. The Dania water tower dates back to 1945. |
