Topeka cab CF7 nears its final days on the LAJ
The Los Angeles Junction was incorporated in 1923 to operate a private line in the Central Manufacturers District. Controlled by Santa Fe and now BNSF, the terminal and switching line has a spaghetti bowl of track in Vernon. Its fleet of four CF7s were rebuilt by Santa Fe from F7(A)s, this one in May of 1972. It began life as F3(A) 201C in November 1948, and was rebuilt into an F7(A) before becoming a CF7.
