ON 1809 with train #698  Contributor's Pick!
Train 698 "The Northlander" from Cochrane pulls out of Union Station with an "EGU" and a string of Hawker Siddeley former GO Transit cars. The EGU is a former Milwaukee Road F9B (ex MILW 125D, 1985; x-MILW 128C). It was rebuilt in 1991 into a generator car. The GP38-2 was the last of ten Ontario Northland received, and was delivered in September of 1984. The corrugated cars were built for GO Transit when it began service in 1967 and extensively refurbished for ON service.
