Nine hour late Southwest Chief
I actually had no idea that #3, the Southwest Chief, was running nine hours late and was completely surprised when it came by at track speed. Prior to reaching Trinadad, both P42s had lost their air compressors. A freight unit came in to rescue and took the train as far as Albuquerque, where the lead P42 (the rescue engine) was added.

John Levai General Nice Shot Charles! I remember the day that I arrived into LA, I checked the status board, and saw that 3 was running extremely late. 9/18/2010 9:19:43 PM
