BNSF string of stacks  Contributor's Pick!
Westbound stacks climb the grade at Vail, and begin to slow for Hobart Yard. Too bad that SD60M wasn't elephant style too. For anyone who's not been to Commerce, it's quite an experience watching these come in. The platform is actually between the main line and a yard track, so you can often be trapped here. And these big stackers come in from the east, often at pretty high rates of speed, while the eastbounds come in fairly slow, building speed as they go. This was shot on Fujichrome Provia 100F.
