Conrail NB31 NJ NY Driller still looking very EL
Railfanning on a Schwinn ten speed was hard, and meant mostly taking pics of train stations... but on one of my early adventures, as I rode down along the Pascack Valley Line, I spotted something grey, maroon, and yellow up in the distance. My heart began to race and I peddled hard to get there before it moved. I was a little disappointed it was an end cab, but it was okay... my first freight train picture ever. SW9 #436 was delivered to the Erie as class SE-12 on 4/52. Later it went to Conrail 9012, NJDOT 436 and lives on today as NY&GL (Erie 436).
