Description:  Two examples of EMD's last bulldog faces, the E9(A) are swarmed at LAUPT's 50th Anniversary. UP E9(A) #951 is displaying train numbers on her boards (for #104 the "City of Los Angeles"). No. 951 was one of 69 E9s owned by UP. Built in 1955, it was one of eight units retained when Amtrak took over passenger rail. It was retired in 1980, but reactivated in 1984 to stand in for 8444 which was at the World's Fair.

Title:  SP 6051
Description:  Southern Pacific Daylight E9(A) #6051 celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal. It is here on loan from the California State Railroad Museum. They received it as a gift on 6/1978 from the Railway Locmotive and Historical Society (RLHS), Pacific Coast Chapter; and restored by CSRM to 1954 appearance. It is still operable and works occasional excursions to this day. It is the sole preserved SP E9.
